Flexible, compact, reliable and operator-friendlyThe SHM series of folio-size sheeters has been developed to meet the varied and specialised needs of the paper converting industry. The SHM 1450 and 1650 Series truly represent the ideal solution to optimise production efficiency with the minimum of supervision and downtime.

The modular design offers flexible solutions for paper mills and independent converters running small but wide-ranging processing operations – from conventional paper and board stocks and plastic films to speciality premium products. Both models are designed for single and multi-roll operation and are available with traditional single rotary or dual rotary ‘synchro’ cutting head systems capable of exacting accuracy at speeds up to 300m/min.

Mark-free sheeting of coated paper and board

Damage to the surfaces of sensitive paper and board grades in the form of bruising, marks and scratches is a problem paper mills and converters are often facing today. The consequence: every year, tons of coated paper and board have to be taken back by
converters and paper mills as a result of customer claims.

E.C.H. Will has addressed the problem in the converting process that has traditionally been the cause of the marking. The solution is a revolutionary new kind of sheet transport and overlapping system. The only solution currently practised on conventional sheeters is to reduce production speeds. Thus the surface of the material is only marginally marked or damaged. With the new mark-free sheeting technology, converters and paper mills are able to convert their material at highest production speeds, completely mark-free.

The FS PRO, our mid-range folio sheeter, can convert finest 50g/m2 paper qualities as well as board grades up to 400g/m2 with the same gentle treatment and care. The GFS PRO, our high-performance sheeter, can sheet both coated and uncoated paper and board grades up to almost 1,000g/m2 and in 2.83m width at a speed of over 400m/min – all mark-free.

The performance of the SLK series (available up to 16 pockets, 3,500mm width) from E.C.H. Will as market leader in this sector is legendary; the machines are continually setting new production records.
