The Unwind feeds a roll of paper up to 20.5" wide and 52" in diameter into the printer for continuous printing. Once the paper is printed, the Cutter uses a rotary knife to cut printed output to the desired length and slits the web for 2-up or 3-up forms. The Stacker positions the sheets to create book blocks. LX Perfect Bind’s stacks are clean, tight, and prepared for further finishing.

For in-line perfect binding, each set of book blocks is delivered to the conveyor system and transported to the SigmaBinder. The SigmaBinder measures every book and automatically adjusts for length, width and thickness. Each book block is then combined with the appropriate cover to create a finished perfect bound book, a custom made, ready-to-use perfect bound book, delivered when required.

In addition to in-line perfect binding, LX Perfect Bind provides stacked output for distribution or near line finishing, depending on your applications. Book blocks can be delivered 1-up, 2-up or 3-up. They are easily transported to the hand-feed/measuring station of the SigmaBinder or to other nearline finishing units, such as Folders or Stitchers.
